這是台灣DMC大賽的冠軍DJ E-turn 想當年我剛接觸DJ這件事，他就充滿熱情的常跑來我家教我刷碟技巧，也一起玩板，後來他慢慢把重心放在創作，我也是我們不停的創作和分享。今天去他工作室玩，真的好久不見，又學到了很多新知識。但令我最感動的還是我們一樣保持著初衷，那種感覺好像回到4、5年前一樣沒變，討論著一樣的事情聊音樂創作dj技巧，還想到我們開始創作時都受到很多不同的打擊與不被看好。他可能是DJ圈的種種，我則是有人聽完demo直接說你應該別花時間在這些事上，好好發揮你的強項打好鼓或好好學DJ ，你這方面真的沒天份⋯我從不恨他們因為我知道他說的是事實。只是過了幾年我突然覺得，沒有天份也不會怎樣呀，重要是開心，真心喜歡創作與演唱，當你付出真心時那種成就感與笑容是可以感化所有負能量的。所以！無論如何我們都要這樣再堅持下去。是吧！你也是！

This is the champion of Taiwan's DMC Competition, DJ E-turn! (I) remember when I'd just started DJ-ing, he would often come over to my place enthusiastically to teach me scratching skills, and also to skate with me. Later on, he started to focus on composing, and so did I & we've never stopped composing and sharing (with each other). Today (I) went to his studio to hang out. (We've) really not seen (each other) in ages & (I) learnt many new things (lit. knowledge) again. But what made me really touched was that the both of us have still maintained the same intentions (we) had at the start & that feeling (made me feel) like as if (we'd) gone back to 4, 5 years ago & nothing has changed, discussing the same things about music composition & dj-ing skills. It also made me think of the many different setbacks and negativity we faced when we (first) started composing. He might be a somebody in the DJ circles, but I'm someone who was told to "stop spending time on (DJ-ing), to develop your strengths properly & (either) concentrate on playing the drums or learning (how) to be a good DJ, (because) you really don't have any talents in this field," after (someone) listened to my demo⋯ I've never hated them because I knew they were speaking the truth. It's just that after a few years, I've suddenly realised that it's alright even if (one) doesn't have the talent (in a certain field). What's important is that (I'm) happy & (I) sincerely loving composing and performing music. When you (do things) sincerely, the kind of feeling of accomplishment and happiness (lit. smile) is able to transform away all the negativities. So! No matter what happens, we have to persevere on like this! Isn't it! You too!

Ps. Those of you who would like to DJ! (You) should really give it a try!

A fulfilling night! (I) can continue writing songs tomorrow. Goodnight
