The TVBS Global Chinese Music Awards (GCM) is a new music chart television programme in Taiwan where fans are allowed to vote for their favourite singers. To start things off with a bang, for the first four weeks, fans stand a chance to win a personalised ringtone specially recorded by their favourite artiste if that artiste places #1 the show! (To win, you'll have to share the website's link publicly on your Facebook page & vote for your favourite artist!)
Other than the votes from the fans, the results will also be tabulated based on the rankings of the songs on the KKBOX Top 50, Hit FM charts as well as album sales on Books.com. MP and labelmates, Della and Victor, have all been included in this week's shortlisted 50 songs for the "TVBS Global Chinese Music Award" and here is a short tutorial (below the cut) on how you can vote for MP!
It seems that TVBS has changed the order of things on their website, so a few of the screen shots seen below may not match up with what you see on the site, but the buttons that you have to click are still the same
1) Visit the TVBS GCM Website HERE. It should look somewhat like this:
(On mobile, the interface is similar, just without the scrolling images on top)
2) Scroll down until you see a Facebook icon, click on it and log in to your Facebook account (by clicking on the icon).
Or if you're already logged into your Facebook account, the window that pops up should say
"TVBS全球中文音樂榜上榜 will receive the following info: your public profile, friend list, email address, checkins and photos." Click "Okay" and proceed on. (Don't worry, it won't allow the app to post on your account)
3) After that, continue scrolling and you'll be able to see MP's Fighting For Love (戰神). Click on the "投票" (Vote) button (as seen in the image below) to vote for MP!
(Note: The above is last week's image, MP is at a different spot, and is beside different albums, this week)
4) A box will pop up after voting, like so:
Click on the "送出" (Send out) button and you're done! :D
(As you will see in the image from Step 3, once you've sent out your vote for MP, the "投票" (Vote) button will turn into a pink tick)
Important points to note:
*The first round of voting will be from Mondays 0900am to Fridays 1200nn
*The second round of voting will be from Fridays to Saturdays, 1200nn to 2200pm
*(NEW RULES!) You are allowed to vote for 10 artistes every day in the first round, but you don't have to. You can just vote for MP alone :D
In the second round, you are only allowed to vote for 1 artiste a day. But anyway, we're just voting for MP ;)
